EJECTOR DEWATERING SERVICE
Ejectors are a key – albeit niche – tool in the dewatering sphere, used primarily in lower permeability soils such as sand and silt, and when pumping levels are too deep for wellpoint installation.
How are Ejectors installed?
Wells are drilled and installed just like deep wells in lower permeability soils. High pressure water from a tank and supply pumps at ground level is then circulated down the well into an ejector nozzle and venturi at the foot of the well. The water flow generates a vacuum, drawing the groundwater in before returning the excess water to the surface to be drained off, with the rest of the water being moved on to the supply pump for recirculation.
